GKV School was delighted to welcome Kavita Viswanath, SVP & India Country Lead, on the 9th of July, along with the Toast India team, to Gita Krishnamurthy Vidyalaya for the inauguration of our newly enhanced Multi-Purpose Hall & Learning Centre.
This vibrant new learning space, made possible through Toast India’s generous CSR support, will become a hub for classroom learning, teacher development, workshops, cultural programmes and student activities for years to come.
One of the highlights of the visit was Kavita’s inspiring interaction with our students. Drawing from her own journey and experiences leading technology teams, she spoke about a world being transformed by Artificial Intelligence, while reminding students that qualities such as curiosity, courage, integrity, continuous learning and believing in themselves will always remain their greatest strengths. Her message—that our circumstances do not define our future—struck a deep chord with our students.
The session quickly turned into an engaging conversation. Students eagerly asked questions about AI, careers, leadership and learning. It was especially heartening to see many thoughtful questions coming from our younger students in Grades 6 and 7, reflecting both their curiosity and the confidence to engage with leaders from the technology industry.
The Toast team’s warmth extended well beyond the formal programme. Their thoughtful gesture of bringing gifts for every single child in the school brought immense joy to our students and was deeply appreciated by both the children and our teachers. It was a simple act of kindness that made the day even more memorable.
We thank Kavita and the entire Toast India team for spending time with our students, for believing in the transformative power of education, and for partnering with GKV to create opportunities that will benefit generations of learners.
