I signed up as a volunteer at GKV in 2023 to facilitate spoken English session for high schoolers at GKV on Saturdays. It has been a truly rewarding experience to see the enthusiasm that ‘my children’ display. I look forward to seeing the whole cycle - as students fumble, make errors in spellings and pronunciations, and then make sincere attempts at correcting themselves and getting it right, making them all the more confident. I believe this ‘learning mindset’ is part of GKV’s pedagogical approach.
Teaching is my passion .I love this school and have got more satisfaction teaching to the children here compared to schools in Kerala and Mumbai where I have worked. I am not in a position to help the needy children financially but am happy to be helping them with my knowledge - something my father always wanted me to do. The management is doing a noble job and I am playing a small part in it. The school has grown from a small building to a large size with all the amenities that any fee paying city school would have such as a large library,science lab, computer labs and a big playground . Here the children have access to all these amenities without having to pay fees. The children here are very talented and all we are doing is enabling them to be their best.
I studied from LKG to 10th in GKV . I benefited a lot from the school .No one can give such a good education, beautiful school and facilities like this without charging fees.My school and teachers helped me to unlock all my potential. I have unforgettable, lovely memories from the day I stepped into the school . I am thankful to Mr. Krishnamurthy , the founder of the school and will forever be grateful to him .
We consider it a blessing that our child is in GKV as we cannot admit him into a school paying thousands of rupees as fees. His future will be good because he gets good quality education and all the facilities in school. We drop him off in the morning knowing he is safe and happy throughout the day. He wants to become a police officer and I am sure the teachers will help him realise this dream.
We could not study so we wish for our kids to receive a good education. This will ensure a bright future for them. The teachers here are caring, they teach the subjects very well and answer queries at any time. My sister’s son has also completed schooling in GKV and is now pursuing M’Com after completing B’Com. We are grateful that our children too have been admitted into GKV.
