GKV started in 2009 with about 145 children in classes LKG,UKG and class 1. Since then one class has been added every academic year to reach the current strength of 420 children. Not surprisingly the drop out rate of children has been very low showing the value that these families in rural communities place to low-cost English medium education. Below is a brief profile who have grown and blossomed with GKV over the last 5 years.
Class 4 children :

- P. Ponabinaya is being brough up by her grand parents due to lack of support from her parents. Highly responsible and interest in learning she has performed well both in academics and sports in the 5 years at GKV

- Being son of a worker in a local provisional store G. Maheswaran comes from a very poor background. He has picked up all subjects well and is very disciplined and obedient

- A. Madasamy of 4rth class comes from a very poor family – his father is a roadside tea vendor. Joining the school in UKG in 2009 he has shown keen interest in all subjects and is also active participant in all sports activities.
Class 5 children:

- K. Chitra of class 5 has been brought up by aged grandparents. She is ver good in academics and a n excellent orator confidently giving welcome address and vote of thanks in English in school functions

- Soft spoken and friendly apart from being good in studies she is also a good singer and learning carnatic music5

- V. Surya joined class 1 at the age of 8 in 2009 due to his family situation. With a disciplined approach he picked up quickly in studies and also shows a keen interest in sporting activities
